Dr. Lazzara completed her dermatology residency training at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus in Southeast, Florida, where she served as chief resident. Following residency, she has since achieved a competitive American Society of Dermatologic Surgery cosmetic and Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship to further her procedural training.

Dr. Lazzara was raised in New Jersey and completed her undergraduate and medical training locally at Monmouth University and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry School of Osteopathic Medicine), respectively. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian while achieving a Bachelor of Science from Monmouth University. 

Interested in dermatology early in her educational career, Dr. Lazzara completed her college thesis on the proposed pathogenesis of the skin pigment disorder vitiligo and researched novel non-steroidal therapeutic options for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in the pediatric population. She continued to publish in dermatologic journals while earning her medical degree and was active in the Dermatological Society of New Jersey. She participated in skin cancer awareness and screening events and was awarded excellence in presentation at the annual Dermatological Society of New Jersey meeting. 

Dr. Lazzara has a particular interest in the prevention and treatment of cutaneous malignancy, as well as the diagnosis of cutaneous rashes.
